Privacy Policy

Short version: browsing needs no account and we ask for nothing. Adding credit needs an email address, and that's the only personal detail we store. Card details never reach our servers.
Who controls this data
The data controller is SKALDOS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16999133, at Office 16963, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA, United Kingdom. We are based in the UK, so UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply to how we handle your data — wherever in the world you are.
What we store

What we never see
Card numbers, CVCs, and billing addresses. Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the email you gave — nothing else.
Who else is involved
- Stripe — processes payments and acts as merchant of record, which means they also handle sales tax and VAT. Their privacy policy governs what they collect at checkout.
- Google Safe Browsing — when you submit a link, we send that URL to Google to check whether it is flagged for phishing or malware. We do this to stop a single bad link getting our whole domain blocklisted. No information about you is sent with it.
- Our hosting and database providers — they keep normal server logs, which include IP addresses, for operating and securing the service.
- Google Analytics — how many people visit, which pages they open, roughly where in the world they are. It does not receive your email or your balance.
- Microsoft Clarity — the same kind of usage statistics, plus session recordings: a replay of where you moved, scrolled and clicked on the page. We use it to find out where the board confuses people. Clarity masks text input by default, so what you type is not captured.
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not run advertising trackers.
Cookies
Strictly necessary: one cookie, pl_token, kept for a year. Without it the site cannot tell whose tiles are whose. Clearing it signs you out; sign back in with your email to get your balance — see below.
Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity each set their own cookies to recognise a returning browser. They are not necessary for the site to work — they only tell us how it is being used. Neither is used for advertising.
Getting your balance back
You cannot add funds without verifying an email first, so every balance has an email attached to it. Sign in with that address on any browser — we email you a six-digit code — and your balance and tiles come with you. Signing in on a new device does not sign you out anywhere else.
Before you have added any funds, your cookie is the whole account. That account has no balance and no tiles, so clearing the cookie costs you nothing.
How long we keep things
- Content on the board — until you change it or someone takes the tile.
- Payment and balance records — as long as needed for accounting and tax, which in most places is several years.
- Anonymous accounts with no activity and no balance — cleared periodically.
Why we are allowed to store it
Under UK GDPR every use of personal data needs a legal basis. Ours are:
- Performing our contract with you — the cookie token, your balance, your tiles and content, and payment records. Without these the service cannot work.
- Legitimate interests — server logs and abuse reports, so we can keep the site running and deal with people who break the rules.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the board is used. These are not strictly necessary cookies. If you would rather not be measured, your browser's “do not track” or tracker-blocking setting stops them, and nothing on the site stops working.
- Legal obligation — keeping payment and tax records for the period the law requires.
Where your data goes
Our payment processor, hosting, database and analytics providers operate outside the UK, so your data is transferred internationally. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a month.
If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Two honest limits. First, deleting your account does not retract content that others have already screenshotted or archived — the board is public. Second, we must keep payment records for the period tax law requires, even after an account is deleted.
Children
pixellord.lol is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced on the board.
